Dancers
Stubby Buroak

OK, it's
perhaps a bit late, but my excuse is that I wanted to be in the right environment when I
wrote this, so I'm writing it at Total Xposure in Troy, Ohio.
And, a couple
of quick comments - they're trying to shift the image of the place: the bouncer is in a
tux, the formerly bare drywall bathroom (ok, so they were working on it) is now completely
tiled, ceilinged, etc - very nicely done. If there was a counter I'd worry about a
bathroom attendant showing up.
They've had
some turnover in the dancers, with several that I've not seen before and a couple that I
was looking forward to seeing gone. Mariah in particular is one of the newer girls who's
quite nice, and I'm going to be getting a few more dances with her before I head out.....
OK, I did, initial impressions were right, rowr.
And of course
any DJ who'll play Amish Paradise....
Anyway, I
figured that expanding on my little dissertation from July might be a good idea, and of
course I have to solicit suggestions from the ladies in question so here I am scribbling
away. Tip Amy the waitress well, she proofed it and said she really liked it.
Originally I
got perhaps a bit overambitious in classifying dancers into nasty girls, bad girls and
naughty girls. It's not really right to categorize the dancers themselves, since it's as
much the image they project as anything else. While I'm sure some of it's below the
surface as well, strip clubs are all about the illusion.....
It's probably
also important that I'm really talking about midwestern clubs here, and I've only been
through East St. Louis a couple of times so it's more the smaller clubs elsewhere and a
few visits to the unimpressive clubs in the Chicago area. Clubs here are very different
from San Francisco, the Block, and East St. Louis, and I suspect the categories that the
girls fall into are different as well.
That said,
here's the edited and expanded version of that original, with a few bits of wisdom swiped
from Saxbeat to add an air of illegitimacy:

trying and enjoy."

It seems to
me that many dancers tend to fall into one of three categories for their image: nasty
girls, bad girls, and naughty girls. There are a few others like good girls (the ones
nobody wants to get a dance from because they're desperately unhappy and only last a few
nights) and "innocents" (not nasty girls in schoolgirl uniforms, but girls who
look like the 15-year-old neighbor girl), but the above are the big three as far as images
go. All of them are "subsets," if you will, of "working girls," and
some working girls (the ones who've been around longer) don't really fit into any of the
category - they move between categories as the club and crowd dictate.
Nice girls
aren't included because any nice girl who's stripping is (by definition) at least naughty.
New girls might be considered another group, but that's because they haven't really
decided how they want to present yet. Even with the uncertainty, though, new girls seldom
have a nasty-girl image - that requires more self-confidence in a club atmospheres than
any new girl will have; most girls with enough confidence to start that way at a club
wouldn't _be_ at a club.
Nasty girls I
think everyone recognizes. I don't know how much of the general stripper population they
are, but every club has at least one or two and it's probably a rare night when there's
not one working. From what I've read, I think a lot of them move away from the midwest.
"What
most dancers don't realize: It's not that customers think
you
are sluts, it's that we HOPE you are."

Nasty girls
are the ones who are way out there and in your face about it. Lots of piercings, lots of
tattoos, lots of roughness. They understand what their PLs are hoping for. They may be the
ones that are interested in really being spanked by the PL who displays an interest in
doing it, and there's a chance that they'll turn around and spank you as well. They may
not be in black PVC or leather, but you recognize them anyway. As a suburban whitebread
boy, I think nasty girls have picked a particular group to appeal to and they're mercenary
about it. While good, a lot of nasty girls don't seem to be having much fun - perhaps it's
not all that important to their niche market?
"Ruthlessness
is the only attitude appropriate for a dancer who
doesn't
want to burn out."

In the
fantasy world of sex with a stripper, a nasty girl might cripple you or at least leave
visible marks.
Bad girls can
look like nasty girls, but they really aren't - they don't have the attitude yet so at the
most they can be nasty-girl wannabes. Bad girls are the girls you look at and think
"I know what she was like in high school," and many bad girls seem to have have
something to prove to the world or themselves, a chip on their shoulder if you will.
"Yes,
she had a fucked-up childhood. Duh."

Some bad
girls don't really seem comfortable about stripping, and it shows. Of the uncomfortable
ones, many really aren't all that great as dancers (stage or lap), whether because of
their discomfort, because they "just know" that just being there nude is enough
(at least to satisfy their desire to be bad) and don't do much to try to improve or for
some other reason I just don't know. Bad girls who get past having to prove something can
definitely become nasty girls, and some may switch to naughty girls instead.
Bad girls
don't really seem to be having much fun, and in the fantasy world of sex with a stripper
they might be techically great and highly-skilled lays but not much more.
Finally there
are the naughty girls - the cream of the crop, IMNSHO. Naughty girls are enjoying
themselves (or presenting a good illusion of it) - there may be other things they'd rather
be doing, but they're not _unhappy_ to be at the club and since they're there they might
as well have fun. They're not stripping to rub the world's nose in how much it's screwed
them up, they're dancing to make a living and having a good time doing it.
Realize,
being a naughty girl and having fun doesn't mean they lose track of the main focus of
separating PLs from their cash, but it's not obvious. Naughty girls have as firm a grasp
on the fact that strip clubs are fantasy places as nasty girls do - they just present a
different image. From my biased viewpoint of liking naughty girls, I suspect they're
disproportionately represented in the ranks of ATFs - bad girls may have regulars, but a
good naughty girl will have followers.
"Dancers
who talk about their personal lives may turn off 10
customers
who prefer 'the fantasy,' but the one customer
they
attract will make up for it."

Sex with a
naughty girl is every whitebread boy's fantasy, because it
might be
wild, it might be kinky, it might be romantic, but it'd never
be boring and
would always be good.
"Customers,
never forget: Money isn't the main reason a dancer
works
at a club... It's the ONLY reason."
